ABOUT THE BO DIDDLEY FOUNDATION

The musical legacy of Bo Diddley, born Ellas McDaniel, is a powerful part of Rock N' Roll history that has been often overlooked and undervalued. Bo Diddley's music was revolutionary, with a sound that has been echoed in the works of many great artists. His innovations and mentorship have been a cornerstone of modern music. But the Bo Diddley experience was much more than just music; it was driven by his passion and love for all people, regardless of their background. He was a mentor to his bandmates, and he welcomed and embraced performers of all genres. Beyond his music, Bo Diddley was a family man. He was a father, a grandfather, and a loving husband. He had a great fondness for his garden, and he was always eager to help out his community and make a difference.

The Bo Diddley Foundation has been established to honor his memory, to continue his spirit of being a resource for his community, and to document and promote his rich library of music and history for generations to come. Your support is essential for this important mission and will help ensure that Bo Diddley's legacy lives on.
